"Heaven help us, the hellcat of Hemlington is here," Nicholas announced and dived desperately back into his glass of port. Lady Eleanor tutted and shooed him off the window ledge, then peeped briefly out at the carriage drawn up before their townhouse. It was gilded and gaudy, every guinea paid proudly on display. "I would appreciate it greatly if you held your tongue about my guests, Nicholas," she snapped and fussed the sitting room curtain back into place. "Bring her in, Pemberton." The short, grim butler slipped out of the shadow of a wall and prowled into the hallway.

The sea frothed in frenzy. Swelling claws of black water pounced upon the beach and raked back across its soft surface, dozens at a time in an unforgiving rhythm. The charging wind whipped up white frothy welts across the thrashing peaks. Only these marked the differences between the sea and the low and lightless sky. The dark-haired man picked gracefully down the dunes to the beach, calm as a picnicker in summer, save for the whipping of his spray-sodden hair. I'm not actually dead.

No really, I'm not. I've just been busy. Really busy. In a field busy, and on an island busy, and scholarising busy. Alas, I have been drawing little. But I've been favouriting incessantly. I just like to horde things I think are pretty. No need for all the thank you posts, I'm entirely selfish in my favouriting practices.
